Rev. William J. Stone

AIKEN, SC -- REV. WILLIAM J. STONE, 78, beloved husband of Linda F. Martin Stone, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta, GA. A native of Florence County, SC, Rev. Stone was a son of the late Joseph Marion and Ellen M. Flowers Stone. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Coast Guard, and served in Korea. Rev. Stone was a member of Fountain of Life Church and was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass. Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife Linda, include two daughters; Catlorna L. Carlisle and Joyce Marie (Paul) Angely of Aiken, four grandchildren; Ellen Marie (Jimmy) Thomas, David (Ashley) Kimball, Leslie Carlisle and William (April) Carlisle, eleven great-grandchildren, a sister, Elizabeth Roach, Lake City, SC and two brothers; Donnie Lee Stone and Johnnie Stone, both of Florence, SC. Preceding Rev. Stone in death were his son, David William Stone, a sister, Hazel Cook and a brother, Larry Stone. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, with Rev. Lonnie Brazell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
