Laverne McGinley

AIKEN, SC – LAVERNE W. BORTELL McGINLEY, 90, widow of William Rawlings McGinley, died Saturday, December 20, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Forest City, IL, Mrs. McGinley was a daughter of the late Elmer John and Emma Melissa Knapp Bortell. She had lived in Aiken for 58 years and was a retired bookkeeper. Survivors include a daughter, Nicki (Rev. Raymond) Phillips, Fort Mill, SC, two grandchildren; Shelley Duvall and Kimberley Phillips and three great-grandchildren; Benjamin McMillan, Joshua McMillan and Amanda Duvall.
