AIKEN, SC – DEBORAH LYNN WILLIAMS CANSLER, 52, widow of Jon David Cansler, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Norfolk, VA, Deborah was a daughter of Betty Ann Joyner Weiand and Jimmy Ray Williams. She had lived in Aiken for 28 years and was a customer service representative with Verizion Wireless Communications at their call center in Columbia. Deborah was a member of South Aiken Church of God where she was also a member of the choir.
Survivors, include a daughter, Rebecca Jonavic, Forest Falls, CA, two sons, CPL Robert (Tammie) Cansler III, USMC, Beaufort, SC, and Stephen Cansler, Aiken, her mother, Betty of Aiken and father, Jim of Arkansas, a sister, Shelly D. Eastway, Syracuse, IN, three brothers, Michael D. Williams, Rockford, IL, Brian K. Williams and Craig A. Williams, both of Aiken and her mother-in-law, Margie Cansler, Aiken. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry R. Williams.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM at South Aiken Church of God, with The Rev.’s Bruce Fox and Kenneth Murphy officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM Thursday at the church.
