AIKEN – Mrs. Ella Laconia Fox Matthews, 95, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Bill Paulling officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Matthews was born to the late Watson Caleb and Evalou Johnson Fox. She was a homemaker to her family and a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Valerie (Richard) Freeman, Aiken, Cheryl (Fred) Hahn, Aiken, grandchildren; Richard Freeman, Robert Freeman, Ryan Freeman, Erin Phillips, Derrick Hahn, Beverly Hahn and eight great-grandchildren.
