Jon David Cansler

Aiken, SC - Jon David Cansler , 54, beloved husband of Mrs. Deborah Williams Cansler, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his residence in Aiken, SC. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Mr. Cansler was a son of Margie Smith Cansler and the late Robert Cansler, Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and graduated from the Dallas Theological Seminary and Christ For The Nations College. He was a licensed massage therapist. Survivors in addition to his wife Deborah and his mother Margie of Aiken, include a daughter Rebecca Jonavic of Riverside, CA, two sons, CPL Robert (Tammie ) Cansler III, USMC of Beaufort, SC and Stephen Cansler of Aiken, and a brother Robert (Lindy) Cansler, Jr. of Aiken, SC. A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 PM at South Aiken Church of God, with Pastor Bruce Fox officiating. Internment will be private.
