AIKEN – Mr. Norman Henry Egbert, 80, died Sunday, January 8, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, 924 Hayne Ave., with the Reverend Michael Butler and the Reverend Eddie Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Baptist Church cemetery. A native of Leadwood, MO, and resident of Aiken since 1980, Mr. Egbert was a former postal clerk for the US Postal Service. He was also a former Golden Harvest Food Bank employee, a security agent at DMAAC in St. Louis, Mo., a missionary to the Navajo Indians, and member of the Bible Faith Holiness Church. He proudly served with the US Army. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Egbert (Jorge) Brooks, Aiken; sons, Deryl “Butch” (Angela Griffiths) Egbert, Aiken, Scott (Lynn Phelps) Egbert, Aiken; grandchildren: John “Trey”(Charlotte Ingle) Lowe, III, Tosha Redd (Gary) McAlister, Clifford “CJ” (Jennifer Lowe) Lowe, Alicia “Nicci” Lowe, Ian Egbert, Joshua Hagberg, Samuel Hagberg, Christian Egbert, Isabela Egbert, Daniel Hagberg, Meghan Egbert, Mikayla Egbert, Jacob Hagberg, Alivia Grace Egbert; great grandchildren: Brandon Lowe, Raelynn Pennington, Allen Lowe, Hayden McAlister, Madison Smith, Cameron McAlister, Conner Lowe; sister: Betty Krauss; Nephews: Randy Krauss, Tracy (Stephanie) Krauss, St. James, MO; close friend Al Guenther, DeSoto, Mo.
