James Robert Fisher

AIKEN, SC - James “Jim” Robert Fisher, 85, died peacefully Sunday evening, January 8, 2017 at home.  The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon, January 12th beginning at 1 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2 o'clock with Pastor Gary Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Jim was born in Park Hill, Canada, a son of the late Roy and Marita Fisher.   He grew up in Southfield, MI, served in the Air Force, and was employed by Chrysler Corporation and FMC (United Defense).  He is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie Ann Aho Fisher, his daughter Barbara (Ron) Key of Spartanburg, SC; and two grandchildren, Kathryn "Katie" Key of Atlanta, GA and Lacey Key of Charleston, SC; a brother-in-law, Wallace L.
