Patrick Ryan Barnes

CHARLESTON, SC - Patrick Ryan Barnes, 21, of Aiken, South Carolina , passed away on January 1, 2017. His soul is no longer with us. We honor his wish to give the gift of life. We have faith that fresh hopes and dreams began with the gift of this wonderful young man. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00PM on Thursday January 5, 2017 at SHELLHOUSE-RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, 715 EAST PINE LOG RD., AIKEN, SC 29803. Patrick was born in Aiken, South Carolina on September 19, 1995. He graduated from south Aiken High School and continued on to receive a Horticulture degree from Trident Technical College in Charleston. Patrick worked as a Park Ranger at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site. He enjoyed music, nature, traveling to National Parks, and playing guitar and soccer. He was full of life, humor and kindness. His joy, energy, and enthusiasm will be missed greatly. Patrick is survived by his parents, William (Bill) M. Barnes and Dianne M. Janssen (Ron); his brother Joshua A. Barnes; Grandparents Kathleen Barnes and Charles and Sondra Ansell; his girlfriend Abby Lawson; and the rest of his family and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his Grandfather, William Barnes.
