Durana Lyn Farrar

AIKEN – Durana Lyn Farrar, 69, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Agape' Hospice House in Lexington, SC. She was born in Williamson, WV on May 8, 1947, but lived most of her life in Aiken. She was a graduate of Aiken High School Class of 1965. She went on to graduate from the University of SC and taught school for 37 years in Aiken County. She is survived by her cousins Linda Lowe Buchanan, Trevor L. Isetts, Zachary L. Isetts, all of Spartanburg, SC; Charles M. Isetts of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Sandra Ward Bartlett of Houston, TX. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and the Soul Seekers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Gertrude Anderson Keel and Virginia Ward Farrar, her parents Norma Keel Farrar and Glen Eugene Farrar. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at historic Bethany Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Dunn officiating.  Memorials may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church and the Soul Seekers Sunday School Class, 223 S Aiken Blvd, Aiken, SC 29803.
