Arnold Thomas Van Trump

AIKEN, SC – ARNOLD THOMAS VAN TRUMP, 88, beloved husband of Karen Teachout Van Trump, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at his residence. A native of Kansas City, MO, Arnold was a son of the late Peter Thomas and Clara Helen Schmidt Van Trump.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had lived in Aiken since 2002.  He was a passionate bass fisherman. Additional survivors include three children, David Van Trump (Kathy), St. Charles, MO, Dianna Van Trump, San Diego, CA, Danny Van Trump, Kansas City, MO; step-children, Natalia Hamill, Lawrence, KS, Amy Chichowski, Laguna Niguel, CA, Timothy Howard (Tammy), Holly Springs, NC; ten grandchildren, Sarah Van Trump (Imran Haq), Ashley Van Trump (Luke Hirsch), Rachel Glasgow (Marvin), Austin and Sam Hamill, Ryan Cichowski, Megan, Joshua, Kailyn and Lindsay Howard; six great-grandchildren, Noah and Lily Haq, Gabriel & Henry Hirsch, June and Gavin Glasgow. The family will receive friends Friday morning, December 30th beginning at 10 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 11 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
