James Fredrick Kauffman

AIKEN,SC – Dr.James Fredrick Kauffman, 81, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, USCAiken, loving husband of Ann Votaw Kauffman, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence. Dr. Kauffman was born in Topeka, KA to the late Dr. Earl and Mary Ellen Carter Kauffman.  He had made his home in Aiken for 39 years, serving in both administrative and academic roles at USCAiken. In addition to his wife, Dr. Kauffman is survived by his three sons, Greg (Renee) Kauffman, Aiken,  David (Mark) Kauffman, Pittsburgh, PA, Brad (Joelle), Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren, Dion Kauffman, Jordan Kauffman, Trevor Kauffman, Cory Kauffman, Carter Benninghoff, Charlotte Benninghoff and Beckham Kauffman. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James F. Kauffman USCA Baseball Scholarship Fund, 471 University Parkway, Aiken, SC 29801.
