Faith Kettyle

AIKEN, SC – FAITH C. KETTYLE, 77, widow of David Kettyle, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her residence. A native of Staten Island, NY, Faith was a daughter of the late John and Helen McGoughran Clifford. She grew up on Staten Island, later moved to Myrtle Beach and settled in Aiken in 2006. Faith was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and very active in the Shawl Ministry. She was devoted to her family, friends and her loving canine companion Oreo. Faith was an accomplished bowler, cook, artisan and spent many wonderful evenings entertaining her dear friends. Survivors include two sons, John Kettyle (Maryann), Norfolk, VA, Stephen Kettyle (Francine), Staten Island, NY; four grandchildren, Shawna Kettyle-Lewis, Megan Kettyle, Patrick Kettyle, Christopher Kettyle; a sister, Karen Madory, Summerville, SC; a brother, Daniel Clifford, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7:30 PM. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday morning, December 16th at 10 o’clock at the old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church on Park Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The SPCA Albrecht Center or the Shawl Ministry at St. Mary’s.
