John K. Baldwin

AIKEN, SC - John Baldwin left this world on November 19, 2016.  A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, John was a son of the late Carlton M. and Jean Herndon Baldwin.  He graduated Aiken High School and had a long career in home building and renovation as the owner of "Benchmark of Distinction".  John filled his spare time enjoying friends, family and traveling to the mountains of North Carolina.He leaves his long-time partner Janet Thompson of Aiken, SC.  John is also survived by three brothers Robert Cloaninger and wife Lori of Roswell, GA; Mac Baldwin and Catherine of Savannah, GA; Ken Baldwin of Aiken, SC; and sister Martha Stapleton and husband Bern of Germantown, MD.  John was a loving uncle to ten nieces and nephews and three grand nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Beth Thompson of Aiken, SC.
