Betty Snyder Haynes

AIKEN – Mrs. Betty Snyder Haynes, 88, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, November 5 at Shellhouse Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 with the Reverend Lee Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Terry Redd, Larry Thompson, Robert Lancaster, Raymond Heath, Robert Wade, Robert Cansler. Mrs. Haynes was born in Clyde, NC, a daughter of the late Jerry William and Annie Pearl Thompson Snyder.  She was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 26, volunteered with the ARMC Auxiliary, was a Gold Star Mother, and a Den Mother.  She was also a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Lynn Haynes, New Ellenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Van C. Haynes; son, Jerry C. Haynes; sisters, Polly Bolden, Shirley Sharp, Sybil Ferguson, Sue Jones; brothers, Marvin Snyder, Larry Snyder.
