AIKEN, SC – PHILLIP LUKE WEESE, 30, died Monday, October 31, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of West Palm Beach, FL, Phillip was a son of Mark D. and Roxanne Kisslan Weese. He lived in Aiken since 1994 and was a 2005 graduate of South Aiken High School. He studied criminal justice in college. Phillip was a reserve deputy with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and a volunteer with the Silver Bluff Fire Department. He formerly worked as a driver / operator with the Aiken Department of Public Safety and was currently an officer with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office at the Detention Center. From an early age Phillip was dedicated to community service, he volunteered at Pepper Hill Nursing Center from the time he was 8 years old until he was in high school. Survivors, in addition to his parents, Mark and Roxanne of Aiken, include his fiancée, Jorden Davis, Aiken; sister, Brittney LeRay Weese, Greenville, SC; niece Karley Elizabeth Mitchum; maternal grandparents, John Henry Kisslan, Jr. and Barbara Kisslan, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; paternal grandmother, Martha Weese, Jupiter, FL. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, November 5th beginning at 3 o’clock at Millbrook Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 4 o’clock. Dr. Stephen Burdette will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Chris Carter, Mike Goodwin, Adam Stubbs, John Hicks. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, Aiken Department of Public Safety and Silver Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
