Melba Jeanine Daniel

AIKEN – Mrs. Melba Jeanine “Jean” Turner Daniel, 87, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2016 in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Chris Masters officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.    Mrs. Daniel was born in Burke County, GA, a daughter of the late William Hugh and Rosa Hayes Turner. A resident of Aiken since 1960, she was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Jubilee Club.    She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert E. Daniel; daughters, Patsy (Rev. Marion) Britton, Aiken; Terri (Ray) Booth, Aiken; grandchildren, Stacey (Ricardo) San Pedro, Todd (Liz) Britton, Cynthia Yount, Lindsay Arave, and Hayley Arave; great granddaughter, Bella San Pedro; sister, Juanita Hall, Statesboro, GA, and a number nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Yount;a sister, Nell Banks; and a brother, Cecil Turner.    Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.    The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at SHELLHOUSE-RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 715 E.
