BEECH ISLAND – Mrs. Ana Pagan Rentas, 90, died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Blackville, SC. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with the Reverend Father Renaurd West officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Rentas was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and immigrated to New York City in 1945. She lived most of her life there until retiring from Mutual of America, and moving to Beech Island in 2015. She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Fred (Connie) Rentas, Beech Island; grandchildren, Jessica Brown and Tim Rentas; great grandchildren, Emily Grace Brown, Gianna, Brandon and Tyler Wisnewski; a niece, Ida Narzario; nephews, Joseph A. Narzario and Joseph I. Narzario; her godchild, Debra Vazquez.
