JoAnne Cole Bernacchi

AIKEN – Mrs. JoAnne Cole Bernacchi, 59, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel, Hayne Ave. The Reverend Ken McDonald will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. JoAnne was born in St. Petersburg, FL, a daughter of Mary Vondenberger Cole Wallace, Lexington, SC, and the late John H. Cole, Jr. She had been a resident of Aiken for the last 30 years, and was the office manager for Help, Inc. In addition to her mother, JoAnne is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Allen Bernacchi; daughters, Barbara Wise Padgett, Sabrina Gavin, sons, David S. (Courtney) Wise, IV, Fabian (Mary) Gavin; grandchildren, David Wise, V, Skyler Wise, Bryson Wise, Pierce Wise, Nicholas Wise, Triniti Gavin, Joseph Gavin, Ivory Gavin; sisters, Deborah (Mark) Williamson, Columbia, SC, Diana Hutson, Aiken; brother, John H. (Jeanette) Cole, III, Ephrate, WA; several nieces and nephews; and a very special lady that has been part of the family, and is family, for 40 years, Hattie Glover. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James D. Cole, and her step father, Rick W. Wallace.
