Chun Wai Tam

AIKEN, SC – CHUN WAI TAM, 86, beloved husband of Siu Fung Hung Tam, died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at his residence. A native of Canton, China, Chun was a son of the late Yeam and Sui Chun Lee Hom. He immigrated to Columbia, SC in 1973 in order to provide a better opportunity for his family. Mr. Tam was a chef and lived in Columbia until moving to Aiken in April 2014. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Columbia. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 66 years, Siu Fung, include a daughter, Nancy Hui (James), Apex, NC; five sons, Wing Man Tam (Annette), Raleigh, NC, Henry Tam (Pandora), Aiken, Lawrence Tam (Debbie), Aiken, Peter Tam (Caroline), Aiken and Joey Tam, Newton, NC; thirteen grandchildren, Andrew, Jennifer, Alex, Sabrina, Michelle, Ashley, Matthew, Kevin, Steven, Jessica and Nicolas Tam and Christopher and Jonathan Hui. The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, March 21st at 1 o’clock in the Greenlawn Memorial Park (Columbia, SC) Mausoleum Chapel followed by interment.
