Lou Ellen Freeman

AIKEN – Mrs. Lou Ellen Freeman, 92, died Thursday, December 4, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Fred Andrea officiating Interment will be private Mrs. Freeman was born in Toccoa Ga., a daughter of the late Elijah Farmer and Rosetta Meritt Land . She was a resident of Aiken for the past 64 years she and was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Barbara Smith Sunday School Class, and a past member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Freeman Smith, Chickamauga, Ga., Laura Lea Freeman, Aiken, SC; one son, Oliver Garland Freeman, Jr., Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Brandon Scott (Vicki) Smith, Blake Freeman (Melissa) Smith; one great-grandchild, Palmer James Smith. In addition to her parents, her husband, Oliver Garland Freeman, Sr. preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
