AIKEN – Ms. Anne Edwards “Sugar” Monts, 81, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Bryant officiating. Interment will be private. Ms. Monts was born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of Nina Edwards. She was a registered nurse, and a member of Mount Anne Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Jared A. Monts, Sr.; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Penina Smith, Staten Island, NY; a brother, John Edwards, Detroit, MI.
