Bernardine J. Foley

AIKEN, SC – BERNARDINE J. “BUNNY” FOLEY, 77, widow of Joseph P. Foley, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her residence. A native of Greenfield, MA, Bunny was a daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby DeRusha Putnam. She moved to New York when she was in her early 20’s and was a former flight attendant for Trans World Airlines. Bunny and her husband founded Westchester Book Composition in Yorktown Heights, NY in 1969. She moved to Aiken in 2011. Survivors include a daughter, Liz Bushnell, Aiken, step-daughter, Barbara Foley Bott, Hopewell, NY; sister, Beverly Knapp, Greenfield, MA; brother, Richard Putnam, Brewster, MA; two nieces, Barbara Knapp and Amy Knapp Stanton. In addition to her husband and parents, Bunny was preceded in death by a son, Brian Bushnell. Services will be held at a later date in New York.
