Geraldine "Gerri" Yonce Johnson

AIKEN – Ms. Gerri Y. Johnson, 71, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday with funeral services to follow at 2:00 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel. Reverend Mike Hallman and Reverend Chris Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Hallman, Trenton Thompson, James Baker, Corporal Matthew Yonce, Jeramy Arthur and John Throckmorton. Gerri was a daughter of the late Vernon W. and Margaret Timmerman Yonce., and a lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a secretary for Woodside Plantation for over 30 years. She loved her family dearly, especially her nephews. Survivors include her sister, Phyllis (Mike) Hallman, N. Augusta, Kathryn Carr, Aiken; brother, Robert V. (Marsha) Yonce, Statesville, NC; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
