Leon Alexander Whewell

AIKEN - Mr. Leon A. Whewell, 74, died Friday, June 14, 2013. A Requiem Mass will be held Tuesday June 18th at 9:30 am at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Max officiating. Mr. Whewell was born in Westerly, RI, a son of the late Alexander Ewing and R. Doris Kenyan Whewell. He had been a resident of Aiken since 1990, and was an engineer with Bechtel Corp. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhandi Johnson Whewell; a daughter, Christine (Louis) Morrone, Westerly, RI; two sons, Leon A. (Ginger) Whewell, Jr., Rhode Island David Michael (Molly) Whewell, Hopkinton, RI; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; two brothers Thomas David (Karen) Whewell, Hopkinton, RI and Brian (Lyn) Whewell, Homosassa, FL.
