Edna Poppe Ahlheim

AIKEN – Mrs. Edna Helen Poppe Ahlheim, 99, died Monday, November 26, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. Mrs. Ahlheim was born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Helen Westervelt Poppe. She had been a resident of Aiken since 2004. She was a former employee of the Bell Telephone Company, a part-time substitute teacher, and a member of Phi Mu Sorority at Adelphi College. Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Tom) Palm, Aiken; grandchildren, Amy Sue Myers, Nancy Ellen Palm Everest; great grandchildren, Gilchrist Myers, Kaitlin Myers, Thomas Everest, Elena Everest, Matthias Everest; friend, Virginia Reagan.
