George Elbert "Buddy" Couch, Jr.

AIKEN, SC- MR. GEORGE ELBERT “BUDDY” COUCH, JR., 62, of Aiken, SC died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mr. Couch, affectionately known as “Buddy,” was born in Augusta, GA, a son of George Elbert Couch, Sr. and Evelyn Turner Couch. He was a life-long resident of Aiken County, having attended the University of South Carolina Aiken and a member of Clearwater Branch Baptist Church. Buddy retired as a millwright in the construction industry and he was a passionate animal lover. Buddy is survived by his wife, Cheryl T. Couch; two daughters, Carol Ann Bond (William) and Erica Lynn Phillips (Alex); two sons, Shawn Elbert Couch (Heather) and Coley Adam Couch, all of Aiken, SC; seven grandchildren, Cecilia Youngblood, Abigail Bond, Karalyne Bond, Gemma Eve Bond, Davon Phillips, Alejiah Phillips, Alyssa Phillips; two brothers, Timothy Chester Couch (Barbara), Aiken, SC and Dale Leon Couch, Sparta, GA and a nephew, Lane Couch, Augusta, GA; and beloved dog, “Puppy". A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Couchton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
