AIKEN, SC - THOMAS MANNING JOHNSON, 81, beloved husband of Sharon Jackson Johnson, died Monday, July 2, 2012 at his residence. A native of Coffee County, GA, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Joe P. and Mildred Aldridge Johnson. He had lived in Aiken since 1951 and was a retired supervisor with DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. Thomas was a member of the Aiken Masonic Lodge #156, the Scottish Rite and Jamil Shrine Temple in Columbia, SC. "Ketchup", as he was affectionately known, was also a member of the Aiken Shrine Clowns. Survivors, in addition to his wife Sharon, include three daughters, Faye (John) Biedler, Modoc, SC, Linda (Gary) Brown, Lincolnton, GA and Stacey (Joe) Swires, Aiken, SC; four sons, Thomas Edward Johnson, Hephzbah, GA, Eddie (Catherine) Jordan, Evans, GA, Steven (Irish) Jordan, Poulsbo, WA and Brandon (Erin) Jordan, Warrenville, SC; fourteen grandchildren, Karl Dunagan, Clay Dunagan, Holly Brown, Allen Hilley, Alicia Coleman, Tommy Johnson, Andy Johnson, Christopher Jordan, Holly Jordan, Lauren Jordan, Brittany Mohn, Jay Swires, Madison Jordan and Cole Jordan; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Josie Duval, Tallahassee, FL; a brother Dave (Flo) Johnson, Vidalia, GA and a nephew, Brady (Eula) Lewis, Alma, GA. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Thursday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens followed by Masonic Rites. Pallbearers will be members of the Aiken Shrine Club. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Aiken Masonic Lodge #156.
