Joan McMinn Irwin

Aiken, SC- JOAN M. IRWIN, passed away on June 27, 2012 at Aiken Regional. She was born in Ridgeway, PA., graduated from Horton High School in Brockport, PA. and immediately was employed in the Payroll Department of the Elliott Company in Ridgeway, . where she worked for seven years. In 1961 she and her family moved to New Jersey where she was a church secretary for 34 years. After retirement she and her husband, now deceased, moved to Aiken, SC , where she did numerous part-time jobs. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, the Primetime Group, Circle 10 and did volunteer work at the church. She was a charter member of the AARP chapter where she held numerous offices. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Harry and Kathryn McMinn and her husband, Richard. Surviving is her son Richard (Rick) and his wife Bonnie of Cape Coral, Florida. Also brothers, Jack and Ronny (Ginny) McMinn of Ridgeway, sisters, Barbara (Wayne) Matheson of Barberton, Ohio and Betty (Jay) Pifer of Aiken, SC. and numerous nieces and nephews.
