Mabel Carroll Ridenour

AIKEN – Mabel Carroll Ridenour, 89, died Monday, June 25, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Gene Ridenour. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery, LaFollette, TN, with the Rev. Corey Carroll officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. A native of LaFollette, Mrs. Ridenour was the daughter of the late John Shirden and Naomi Hubbard Carroll. In 1952 she and her husband moved to Aiken, South Carolina where they became members of Millbrook Baptist Church. Mrs. Ridenour was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Edward) Grealish, Graniteville, SC, Debbie (Steve “Buzz”) Busbee, Aiken, SC; one son, Roger (Carol) Ridenour of Asheville, NC; daughter-in-law Mary Lou Ridenour, Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Kimberly Kay Ridenour, Gene Scott (Naikia) Ridenour, Mary Carroll Ridenour, Roger David (Tammy) Ridenour, Russell Lee (Stephanie) Ridenour, Robert Michael Ridenour, Christopher Brent (Kandi) Cushman, Casey Ryan (Jennifer) Cushman, Steven Chadwick (Jamie) Busbee, Philip Brandon Busbee, Jennifer Busbee Fishburne; great-grandchildren, Haley Cushman, Cainan Cushman, Kylie Cushman, Sophia Ridenour, Aubrey Ridenour, Lindsey Ridenour, Connor Ridenour, Sophie Busbee, Brice Fishburne, Summerland Fishburne, Joseph Fishburne. A brother, Fred Carroll, LaFollette, TN, also survives her. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ridenour was preceded in death by her son Dr. Rev. Ronnie Gene Ridenour.
