Vera Davolt McRae

AIKEN - Mrs. Vera Dean Davolt McRae, 90, died Thursday, June 9, 2011. Mrs. McRae was born in Ethel, MO, a daughter of the late Ralph Curtis and Ora Richardson Davolt. She had been a resident of Aiken for two years, and was formerly an executive secretary to the Iowa State Auditor. She was a member of Park Ave. Christian Church, Des Moines, IA. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Fred) Mitchell, III, Aiken, SC; a son, Paul Donald (Delores) McRae, Jr., Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Julie Reeves, Brian McRae, Pamela Blakely, Christi Purcell, Casey Thompson; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Louise Tippin, Carmichael, CA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Donald McRae, Sr. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
