Dorinda Hubbard

AIKEN, SC -- DORINDA ALDA CARTER HUBBARD, 48, beloved wife of Brent Hubbard, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native of Orange Park, FL, Dorinda was a daughter of Paullette Faye Curts and Robert Lloyd Carter. She graduated from Augusta State University with a BS in Computer Science and worked as a Program Manager in Information Technology at SRNS at the Savannah River Site. Dorinda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Solid Rock Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Brent, a son, Brooks (Rhianna) Hubbard, Aiken, grandson, Hudson Brooks Hubbard, her mother Paullette Curts, White Springs, FL, father, Robert L. Carter, Jacksonville, FL, a brother, Richard Carter, Chicago, IL, three sisters; Donnita Parks, Augusta, GA, Delynda Bagby, Jacksonville, FL, and Darla Crawford, Monroe, NC, ten nieces and nephews and thirteen great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with The Rev. Steven Drawdy officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 1 PM in Hillcrest Cemetery, Boaz, AL.
