AIKEN – Mrs. Christine Mitchell Koonce, 92, of Aiken, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Cumberland Village. Funeral services will be held privately. Mrs. Koonce was born in Brookfield, NC, a daughter of the late Anison and Neruia Brown Mitchell. She moved to Aiken in 2006, and attended First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, John Everett Koonce, Jr., N. Augusta, SC; two grandchildren, John Steven Koonce, Coon Rapids, MN, Donald Earl Koonce, Richmond, VA; two sisters, Gladys Brown, Hickory, NC, Mary Sain, Charlotte, NC.
