Nell Geddings Armstrong

NEW ELLENTON, SC—Nell Geddings Armstrong, 77, beloved wife Curtis Albert Armstrong, Jr., died February 9, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. A native of Anderson, SC, Mrs. Armstrong was a daughter of the late Graham Leroy and Thelma Lorraine Geddings. Mrs. Armstrong had lived in Aiken County since 1954. She retired from DuPont SRS and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the New Ellenton Chapter 247 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors in addition to her husband, include her three sisters Mildred (Beauford) Whitworth, of Anderson , SC, Ruth Black, of Lake Wateree, SC, and Jo (E.L. “Sonny”) Young, Lake Wateree, SC, her brother Billy (Betty) Geddings, Dalzell, SC Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with Rev, Brian Gilmer officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
