Mable Lorine Hill Autry beloved wife of the late Floyd F. Autry entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2007 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, Laurens Street, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Autry was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, On September 28, 1912, the daughter of the late Henry A. and Grace P. Hill. She attended Hamilton County Schools and was employed by Loveman’s Department Store for many years. Mrs. Autry was active in the Eastern Star, did volunteer work for the Red Cross and Ladies Auxiliary of Park Ridge Hospital, all in Chattanooga. After her husbands death, Mrs. Autry moved to Aiken in 1993 to be near devoted friends, the late Walter J. Bradley, Jewelle R. Bradley-Crowley and her beloved niece Carol Hill Redd. She resided in Kalmia Landing and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Declining health forced her to enter a Health Care Center until her death. Mr. Autry is survived by a brother, J. C. Hill and wife Henrietta K. Hill of Chattanooga, Tennessee. A sister-in-law Myna K. Hill of Middleton, Ohio, a niece Carol Hill Redd and husband Timothy W. Redd, great nephew Timothy W. Redd II and great niece Hillary Carla Redd all of Aiken. Two nieces, Charlotte Hill Moore and Sharon Hill Carpenter, one nephew, Jay Craig Hill all of the Chattanooga area. Two brothers, Henry A. Hill and H. William Hill, predeceased Mrs. Autry. A private memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The family of Mrs. Autry wishes to thank Dr. T. Mark Meyer, the staff of Mattie C. Hall, and Pepper Hill Health Care Centers, also caregivers Ruben Green and Sadie Scott for their care and concern extended to her for many years.
