AIKEN,SC- Madeline Ione Hanly Nalley, 85, died, Friday, March 1, 2013.

A Christian wake will be celebrated March 3rd at 6:00pm at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. Friends are invited to remain after the service as the family will receive until 8:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 4th at 10:00am at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church with The Rev. Father Don Abbott celebrant. Final prayers and commendations will follow at Aiken Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Nalley is the daughter of the late John and Ione Wells Hanly and was preceded in death by her brother, William Hanly. She was known for being one of the first female realtors in South Carolina. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Ms. Nalley is survived by her son: Robert “Brillo” (Pernie) Nalley, Aiken, daughter: Linda Nalley Al-Jabere, Aiken. Grandchildren: Robert H. Nalley, Tyemour “TJ” Al-Jabere. Great grandchildren: McKenzie Nalley, Brooke Nalley, Bobby Nalley. Sister: Bridgette Hanly Brown, Aiken.

The pallbearers will be Marley Davis, Howard Brown, David Cook, Robert “Brillo” Nalley, Robert Nalley II, and James Butch Pottet.

In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, 640 Edrie St., Aiken, SC 29801.
