Olin Wood

AIKEN, SC -- OLIN T. WOOD, 71, beloved husband of Drucilla Jackson Wood, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Aiken County, SC, Mr. Wood was a son of the late Alma Copeland and Leonard L. Wood, Sr. He was retired from J. M. Huber Corp. He was a member of Aiken's First Baptist Church, Aiken Masonic Lodge # 156, member and Past President of Aiken County Shrine Club and member of Saluda County Shrine Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Dru, include two daughters, Lisa (David) Thompson, North Augusta; Sherri (Wayne) Matthews, Saluda; three grandchildren, Stuart and Derek Thompson, North Augusta and Dylan Matthews, Saluda; brother Kenneth (Ann) Wood, Batesburg and sister, Evelyn Abney, Warrenville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Stuart Thompson, Derek Thompson, Dylan Matthews, Jerry Jackson, Bo New, W. H. Kirkland and Billy Ray Kirkland.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
